This fabulous antique Victorian 9ct Gold Purple Paste necklace is Circa 1880.
The wonderful necklace is adorned with deep velvet rich purple Paste stones, all set in 9ct Gold which has developed a rosy hue with age.
Paste is a transparent flint glass that simulates the fire and brilliance of gemstones. Purple Pastes sparkle just like Amethyst’s which have been adorned upon regal jewellery all around the world, from ancient Egypt to the British crown jewels.
The necklace is complete with it’s original red wine coloured Leather box with cream Velvet interior.
This is the first original fitted box we have ever exhibited for sale with comfortable indentations that fit the necklace beautifully.
The piece is originally from Fishergate, Preston in the North West of England with their logo displayed on the interior of the box.
This is a truly stunning antique necklace that sits beautifully around the neck, perfect for a wedding or special occasion.
